Are Muslims Lying About the Penalty for Apostasy or Leaving Islam?

Introduction

To begin with, Islam has a very negative view of all religions outside of Islam. One quote that explains this is the following from the Hadith.

Fight those who do not believe in God, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid what God and His Messenger have forbidden, nor abide by the religion of truth—from among those who received the Scripture—until they pay the due tax, willingly or unwillingly. – Quran (9:30)

As Muslims are taught to fight against those who do not believe in God (which is their God Allah), it should not be much of a leap to say that Muslims have a serious problem with those Muslims that give up Islam.

The following quote relates to anyone who causes “mischief in the land,” which Muslims consider apostates.

(Mohammed) The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and his apostle and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned – Quran 5:33

Observe this video at the 3:45 mark; a Muslim is asked why we already know the answer to, which is under Sharia, will apostasy be a criminal offense. The answer is the penalty for apostasy is death — with the clarification that the person is allowed time to consider whether they want to come back to Islam. However, this Muslim defects the question.

Punishments That Seem to Contradict What Muslims Tell Western Audiences

In the UK, fathers have killed their daughters, called honor killings for leaving Islam. Apostates are constantly applying for asylum in countries where Muslims cannot punish them. However, Muslims would have us believe that none of this exists.

In this video, the Apostate Prophet explains the reality of how ex-Muslims are banned in Muslim countries. However, Muslims have the gall to complain about “Islamophobia” in western countries. When Muslims are confronted with this information, they will normally say that it is not relevant because those are different countries — without observing the obvious evidence that Islam is extraordinarily intolerant of other religions. Currently, worldwide there is one religion that both decrees and actively engages in death for apostasy, and that is Islam.

Conclusion

Islam presents a view to westerners of Islam that is entirely based on non-compulsion. This is false, and the evidence is beyond a shadow of a doubt that Muslims engage in extreme punishment and, in some cases, death due to apostasy. Given the punishment doled out to apostates, one wonders how many Muslims would like to leave Islam but can’t because they are compelled to stay.

A major question is how Muslims can be in their right mind and support murdering people from choosing not to support religion. Furthermore, if you are threatened with murder to continue to believe in Islam, then what is the free will in believing in Islam.
