The Invasion of Ukraine is Similar to the Holocaust?

In this video, Zelensky claims that the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is similar to the Holocaust. Here is a quote from Zelensky.

“Indeed, this is genocide. The elimination of the whole nation and the people. We are the citizens of Ukraine. We have more than 100 nationalities. This is about the destruction and extermination of all these nationalities. We are the citizens of Ukraine, and we don’t want to be subdued to the policy of Russian Federation. This is the reason we are being destroyed and exterminated, and this is happening in the Europe of the 21st century,” – The Week

For this to be true, it would mean that Russia had set up death camps in Ukraine and was gassing a large number of Ukrainians.

This was a message to Israel to get them to provide support for Ukraine and to sanction Russia.

How The Western Establishment Media Accepts Zelensky’s Claim to Bang The Drum for More US Support and Weapons Sales to Ukraine

CBS which the US DOD and State Department control, accepts all of Zelensky’s claims and then makes other claims. CBS intends to bang the drum for war. US defense contractors need to manufacture consent in order to get more support for sending more arms and having more military conflict.

In checking the comments on this video, I found strong emotional reactions from the commenters talking about how terrible this genocide was. This video segment by CBS was not designed to inform those that viewed it, it is an advertisement for war and war support. Notice that CBS and the rest of the establishment Western media barely discuss negotiation. All coverage aims to extend the war and maximize the benefits to the US defense establishment.

Understanding the Size of the Holocaust

Around 21 million people were killed in the Holocaust. This is shocking and is unexpected because Jewish groups, who are the main promoters of information about the Holocaust, promote the impression that just the Jews and then promote the 6 million figure. Actually, this 6 million figure appears to have been exaggerated, with Rummel estimating 5.2 million. This means Jews were only 5.2/21 or 24.7% of those killed in concentration camps.

And this is the problem when bias and politics are included in the estimation and obtaining historical information from those who are using it for political ends. I call this “history as a tool,” and it is performed by people who don’t have an interest in accuracy. If I took this same approach, I would simply selectively include and exclude relevant data points to fit a conclusion rather than the other way around.

Conclusion
The civilian casualties in Ukraine have been low. And there is no evidence of a Russian program to kill large numbers of Ukrainians in some mechanized fashion. What is curious is that 3 million Ukrainians were killed in the Holocaust. So it is peculiar for the head of Ukraine to make such an unsupported claim.

Manufacturing Consent: Is The Establishment Media Pushing Exaggeration

There is a desire in society by elites to stamp out critical thinking skills. The focus is on building compliant robots. The media system expresses what the elites want the populace to think. All of this presentation around Putin being Hitler is called manufacturing consent. It will then allow the US to respond in ways consistent with the interests of defense contractors over the interests of the US public. I introduce as evidence just the last several US wars that did zero for the security of the US public but did everything for the revenues of the defense contractors and defense industry careers. However, we were told, “we did not want the smoking gun to be a mushroom cloud.” So many commenters are not getting the paradoxical thing that Putin has an infinitesimal chance of ever reaching the US atrocities from these two wars. They can’t seem to see this hypocrisy. Many people commenting here are not thinking about these things themselves; they are being led what to think by these elites. If you present the same story through enough major media sources, pretty soon, a sizable percentage of the public begins to restate the status quo view. The coverage of Ukraine has been “brought to you by Lockheed Martin” in the same way the coverage of covid was “brought to you by Pfizer.” Now that the information provided about covid by financially interested parties has proven almost entirely false, the majority will not go back and ask for accountability.
