How the Medical Establishment Hides Mammography Accuracy from the Public
Executive Summary
- Mammography accuracy is not accurately presented to the public by the mammography entities.
- This is to maximize the number of women who agree to be screened.
Introduction
It is considered entirely justified for mammography entities and medical authorities to mislead the public regarding the accuracy of mammography.
The Problem With Hiding The Accuracy of Mammograms
If the accuracy of a diagnostic item is very low, then the technology has not developed to the point where it should be used. However, this information is kept from the public, and women are encouraged to receive mammograms even though the treatment provided will not improve outcomes for those with breast cancer and will damage the health of those who have been given a false positive cancer diagnosis. This is in addition to the radiation exposure of the mammogram itself, which is imposed upon all women that have a mammogram. This means that even those women that receive a negative diagnosis of cancer are also worse off than if they never had the mammogram in the first place.
The issue of false positives from mammograms is covered in the video above.
