Islam’s Strange Opposition to Music

The Apostate Prophet explains the Muslim restriction on music. He observes the following quote.

From among my followers, there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks, and the use of musical instruments, as unlawful. – Sahih Bukhari 5590

The first question that naturally arises is why would music be made unlawful.

The second quote is even stranger.

Allah will destroy them during the night and will the mountain fall on them, and he will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so until the Day of Resurrection – Sahih Bukhari 5590

Conclusion

There is no evidence that people that listen to music turn into pigs or monkeys. Obviously, as most of the people of the world listen to music, if it were true, we would know as there would be enormous numbers of missing people and correspondingly large numbers of pigs and monkeys that are found driving cars and living in houses.

Those who listen to music will be destroyed or murdered and will have mountains fall on them is both extremely bizarre and ridiculously controlling and vicious. These types of quotes make one wonder why anyone would try to defend Islam. Another question is if Mohammed was actually a prophet, why do we not see people turned into pigs and monkeys.
