Executive Summary

  • What is little discussed is why Muslims tend to know so little about the Koran.
  • A primary reason is explained in this video by David Wood.

Introduction

When debating Muslims and telling them what is in the Koran, if it is negative, it is widespread for the Muslim to state that the quotation can’t be in the Koran or is being misinterpreted. This article covers a video that explains why Muslims know so little about either the Koran or Hadith.

Why Muslims Cover Their Eyes.

David Wood describes the issue of few Muslims reading the Koran or Hadith as follows.

At the 16 minute mark, David Wood explains that most Muslims do not read the Koran because if they run into passages, they don’t like or that conflict with their values — which any person will, then Islam states that you are no longer a Muslim.

This means that Muslims who are dressed in Islamic clothing and who declare their enormous belief in Mohammed and Allah and follow directives, still will, in many cases, have barely read the Koran.

In this video, the Apostate Prophet explains how the more Muslims read the Koran, the more likely they are to leave Islam. As Turkish authorities are trying to hide this, they try to blame it on “poor translations.” The Apostate Prophet further points out that the translations of the Koran in Turkey already add guidance that is not in the Koran to try to sugar coat it.

Conclusion

Muslims have a poor history of reading the Koran. They rely on “Islamic scholars” who lie to them about what is in the Koran and Hadith and tell them that anyone who criticizes Islam is ignorant of Islam. In Muslim societies, all you have to do is say you believe, and you don’t have to demonstrate knowledge of Islam. Those questions of knowledge only happen when a person contradicts or critiques Islam.
