Zakir Naik is probably the best-known source or Muslim scholar. The term Muslim scholar is essentially a person who lies to non-Muslims about Islam. However, Zakir Naik lies about Islam, but he has enormous accuracy problems with nearly any subject that he communicates to his audience. We will cover this topic.

What Does Zakir Naik Know About Darwin and the Theory of Evolution?

Zakir Naik is one of the most popular Muslim scholars in the world. However, this explanation of something that is not even Islamic but is an attempt to undermine the theory of evaluation is filled with enormous incorrect assertions. Zakir repeatedly presents incorrect information about things that are widely known. These are not lies. They are just Zakir not remembering what he read. And yet, his rabid Muslim followers don’t seem to notice. How low is the typical Muslim intelligence level that Zakir’s extreme ignorance fools them? 

How Easily Can These Falsehoods Be Checked?

What is curious is that while I did not know every one of these false claims (I had never heard of many of the people Naik referenced and would have had to look them up to know they did not exist), with my knowledge of Darwin, I was able to falsify around 1/2 of the statements made by Naik in this video. Naik not only has problems remembering things, but he also has excellent limitations with English. As an example, he states that these birds were pecking at niches. However, he has confused the term “finches,” which is the type of bird that Darwin investigated as the birds were pecking at “nitches.” The Galapagos Islands’ finches did not peck at niches; they used their beaks to open nuts. I remember this from reading about Darwin around 20 to 25 years ago. Naik had time to prepare for this presentation, and he did not prepare because his memory is entirely confused.

Zakir Naik is a Medical Doctor?

Zakir Naik claims to be a medical doctor. The Apostate Prophet points out in this video that he completely misexplains the theory of revolution, confuses a theory versus a hypothesis, and how a term theory is used differently in science versus everyday usage. In this video, he presents virtually every false argument against evolution taken from fundamental Christians. Naik appears to add nothing to the fundamentalist Christian criticism of evolution, all of which are false. 

Backward Engineering Modern Science Into the Koran

In the book The Quran & Modern Science: Compatible or Incompatible? Naik states that the Koran predicated virtually all of the significant scientific discoveries. What is curious is how virtually every single one of these scientific discoveries was made not by Muslims but by the West. So, if the Koran already had all of this stuff figured out back in 650 AD, one wonders why Muslim societies did not figure it out. 

Naik and the Dunning Kruger Effect

Another thing to notice is that through all these inaccuracies, Naik shows extreme confidence while making these ridiculous statements. This means that Naik suffers from a very extreme form of the Dunning-Kruger effect. The Dunning-Kruger effect is where the less you know, the more confidence you have about the subject matter. If a person has this type of confidence over a topic they do not understand, it means that this same person will also make false statements without any shame about other topics. And Naik does this repeatedly on the topics of Islam and Christianity.

Yet Another Golden Pinnochio Award Winner

Naik receives our Golden Pinocchio Award for lying about Muslim and even non-Muslim topics. We don’t have an award for blatantly misunderstanding topics and have significant issues with the Dunning-Kruger effect. 

Conclusion

Naik is a liar who continually presents false information about Islam and inspires hate for all other religions by deceiving his mindless audience. Naik constantly fakes knowledge that he does not have. In other videos, Zakir is lying about being a medical doctor, and he does not understand the difference between a hypothesis and a theory (which is strange for a “medical doctor,” he lied in a question about whether Islam allows Muslims to have sex with slaves (it does).

The fact that Zakir is so popular among Muslims is embarrassing for Muslims. It means that vast numbers of Muslims lack the critical thinking skills to figure out a BS artist is tricking them.
