Jackson, MS, is a city that has become predominantly black. This was considered a good thing because it meant more diversity, which told it was less white. According to non-whites, whenever a city becomes more diverse, everything improves. And when it degrades, these same people will cover up why it spoiled. The recent water problems at Jackson, MS, are yet another example of this phenomenon.

Jackson State Football Coach Deion Sanders on the Situation in Jackson, MS

Deion Sanders is the head coach at Jackson State, and here is what he had to say about Jackson’s current problems.

Jackson State football coach Deion Sanders said his team is “operating in crisis mode” with no water, air-conditioning, running toilets or showers amid the city’s water emergency.

Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves declared a state of emergency on Tuesday, after excessive rainfall worsened problems in one of Jackson’s water-treatment plants and caused low water pressure throughout the capital city. In an Instagram video on Tuesday, Sanders said his Jackson State football team is without water and air-conditioning, and are unable to shower and use toilets in the school’s campus housing and the team’s facility.

“We’ve been hit with a little crisis in the city of Jackson,” Sanders said in the video. “We don’t have water; water means we don’t have air conditioning. We can’t use toilets. We don’t have water, therefore we don’t have ice, which pretty much places a burden on the program. So right now we’re operating in crisis mode.”

The media coverage of Jackson’s water system failure, much like the water system failure in Flint, MI, entirely leaves out the city’s racial composition. Here is a quote from Wikipedia on what Jackson, MS, is like.

In 1993 Jackson had the nation’s 12th highest homicide rate among cities with more than 100,000 residents, according to the FBI. The 87 slayings in the city in 1993 gave Jackson a homicide rate of 41.9 per 100,000 residents, the FBI reported, and set a new record for the most violent deaths in one year. 1994 had higher homicides, with 91, and the record would be broken again in 1995 with a total of 92.[89][90]
In 2020, the city’s homicide rate reached its highest in history with 79.69 homicides per 100,000 residents, with a total of 128 homicides.[91] Of major U.S. cities, only St. Louis surpassed Jackson’s homicide rate.[92] The homicide rate in 2020 represented a significant spike after years of declining homicide rates in the early 2000s.[93] Property crime remains much lower than in the 1990s and overal violent crime has not increased as significantly as homicide in recent years and is below the peak in 1994 as of 2020.[94] In 2021, a record number of homicides were recorded – 155 – and at a rate of 101 per 100,000 amongst the highest in the world.[95] – Wikipedia

And here is the kicker…Jackson, MS, is 83% black. This means that Jackson, MS, will naturally be a hotbed of corruption and mismanagement as there is not a single black-run city in the US that is competently run.

It turns out that having an African name (Chokwe’s parents likely changed their name back in the 1970s, when African names and Islam were all the rage in the black community) and being a community activist does not help you manage a city. Let us review how well the city of Jackson is managed. Suppose Chokwe’s stewardship of Jackson is similar to other black-run towns in the US. In that case, he has not investigated the details of Jackson’s infrastructure. Still, he has instead been giving as many positions as possible in the Jackson government to his friends and addressing equity, making the administration as black as possible. Is that jumping to conclusions? Well, let us see how good a job Chokwe and his father (as Chokwe’s father was mayor before Chokwe won his election in 2017) have been doing in managing Jackson.

The Worst Managed Cities in the US — Are All Black Run

WalletHub compiled the rankings of cities.

Hmmm….so even with an African name, a great deal of black pride, and a law degree (hence the Esq), Chokwe runs one of the worst-run cities in the US. All of the cities at the bottom of the rankings are black-run. Is that because of systemic racism, the legacy of slavery or white supremacy?

What is left out is that Jackson does not just have a water system problem — the city is a disaster. However, Jackson did not have these problems when whites managed them.

The Importance of Pointing the Blame to Whites

Even when a city is 83% black and black-run, it is critical for any DNC-aligned media — which is the vast majority of the US media to blame whites — even though white-run cities do not have the same water problems as black-run cities. But, the WOKE media is always available to keep blacks from being held accountable. Let us review some quotes from VOX, one of a seemingly unlimited number of WOKE/DNC media outlets.

VOX on The Roots of the Crisis

But the roots of this crisis run much deeper, and are inextricably tied to white disinvestment from a majority-Black city. Jackson’s water system — which serves a population that is more than 80 percent Black — has been burdened with problems for many years, largely because white flight drained the city of resources.

Hmmm….so the city became nearly entirely black, meaning they took over the city.

Now, why was white flight an issue? Is that because the whites were the major part of the tax base and what kept the city running? Don’t whites also design the entire water system in Jackson? I thought diversity was a strength, and it turns out you need enough whites to pay taxes and maintain infrastructure, which blacks have a problem doing. The VOX article leaves out the departure of technical talent. As blacks took over, they featherbed with other blacks.

Learning From the Black Takeover of South Africa

The same thing happened to Eskom, the power utility company in South Africa. Eskom began laying off white workers and replacing them with unqualified blacks for “equity.” Eskom is in free fall as a utility, with its output declining yearly, which I covered in the article How South Africa’s Decline Mirrors the Decline of Eskom.

In every city or country I have checked, from Detroit to Baltimore to Zimbabwe, as soon as blacks take over the management of that government from whites, the infrastructure in that area goes into a swift decline.

Learning from Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe was happy to get rid of whites. However, their economy fell apart, and their inflation was so high that they published a hundred trillion dollar note.

A little more on the history of currency in Zimbabwe is found in the following quotation.

The country’s central bank could not even afford the paper on which to print its worthless trillion-dollar notes. President Mugabe issued edicts to ban price rises, of comedic value were it not for the devastation that hyperinflation wrought upon the people.

In 2009 the government scrapped the currency, leaving US dollars and South African rand as the main notes and coins in circulation. To this day, Zimbabwe still has no currency of its own, although the government last year offered to swap old deposit accounts into US dollars, giving savers $5 for each 175 quadrillion (175,000,000,000,000,000) Zimbabwean dollars. – The Guardian

Jackson is now nearly 83 percent Black, up from 47 percent Black in 1980, and roughly a quarter of its residents are below the poverty line. Ok….why did they leave? Also, how do Jackson’s schools perform now versus back before the schools were integrated? Were the blacks expecting a permanent subsidy from whites as they became the predominant population in the city? Why can’t blacks seem to be effective without it being done for them by whites?

Why does it seem that most whites thought about what blacks moving into Jackson thought of what they did to Jackson? Well, most of them moved out. Should the whites that moved stay instead so that they could get the approval of VOX?

Also, has the VOX author spent much time in a predominantly black area? Does this author live in a black area now, or like most white liberals does the VOX author live in a nice white community while decrying the problems with segregation?

Why hasn’t his author moved to a predominantly black area already?
Did that author recall that black areas are hostile and things don’t work, that the standards of behavior are extremely low, or that they are the most dangerous parts of the US?
Could these have been a reason the whites left? Is this also why blacks want to leave also?

Also, did the whites want to leave, or were they forced out through black incursion into their city, which amounted to blacks seeking to find a white area that was appealing but which they eventually ruined? How is it that when whites have their city taken over, they also get blamed for this by media outlets like VOX? What about what blacks did to Jackson?

Furthermore, why didn’t diversity (the real meaning of diversity is the replacement of whites with other races) strengthen rather than weaken Jackson, MS? if diversity is a strength, isn’t the white population moving out a good thing? Fewer whites = more diversity.

As with all liberals, VOX and the DNC are locked into a logical inconsistency.

VOX on Systemic Racism

It’s twofold,” Wolfe wrote. “Systemic racism is an unmistakable underlying cause for Jackson’s stripped resources, and while it may be clouded by a mutual distrust today, racism continues to prevent future investment.

Systemic racism is the go-to term for blacks and liberals — however, where is the evidence of this in Jackson? Who was racist against Jackson blacks? Isn’t the city now 83% black? Also, if the population is 83% black, how is racism preventing future investment? Can the investment only come from whites, VOX should understand that the system is that each area collects taxes and then pays for things like water taxes? The way this quote is written, it sounds as if blacks depend on whites. But this makes whites sound more competent than blacks. Isn’t that a racist assumption? Isn’t the position of VOX that blacks are the same as whites? However, on the other hand, we hear that blacks can’t get a fair shake from whites. Aren’t blacks better off on their own — if the hypothesis is that blacks can’t do well among whites?

Which is it?

Why is there no search for consistency in VOX, among blacks, or any of the liberal DNC media? It feels good to say two contradictory things in the short term. However, eventually, it erodes your credibility as it becomes apparent that you are just making things up.

The other problem is that to do this, you have to be a dishonest person. This VOX author is a protagonist twisting himself or herself into a pretzel to produce a politically correct article. This foundational dishonesty is why liberals have lost all credibility.

What Happened to Jackson, MS, Was Replicated in Many Cities With the Same Results

Whites mostly left as blacks moved into Jackson, and the blacks had the city to control and to manage. They are 83% of the city at this point. Aren’t they now responsible? If blacks entirely take over, how do they continue to escape responsibility for management?

Let us reverse the situation. Let us say a city was 83% white, and the local government was predominantly white — would VOX ever write an article accusing blacks of being responsible for some failing of infrastructure on the part of the government?

Of course not — such an article would never be written.

Also, who stripped Jackson of resources? Whites left, and they did not strip Jackson of resources. Did they loot Jackson? What am I missing? Unless…..and wait for it….whites are themselves resources.

Furthermore, what if blacks had never moved into Jackson, and the city had stayed more white? It is quite predictable that Jackson would not have any of these problems.

Let’s take a look at the best-run cities in the US.

These are the best-run cities in the US. None of them is black run, and all are white run. One might think that Mexicans run Las Cruces as they do in New Mexico. However, Las Cruces is a white enclave in a sea of Hispanics in New Mexico.

What can we take away from the relationship between the racial composition of a city and its outcomes? Is this racist to say — or are the outcomes racist? Is it racist to observe differences in outcomes? According to VOX, the answer is yes, which is why they write articles that try to obscure these distinctions and blame the lower functioning of non-white societies on white societies. What VOX can’t explain is why non-whites continually complain of racism while at the same time having it as their ultimate desire to move to white countries or white areas within white countries.

Recall further that all of the water systems at Jackson were developed by whites, not by blacks – if it weren’t for whites, blacks would not have any water systems at all.

VOX also seems to ignore the fact that whites do not use black water systems. The converse is true; blacks use white water systems; however, even when all the technology is transferred to blacks, blacks have a problem maintaining water systems and other white-invented infrastructure.

Conclusion

The degradation of Jackson, MS’s infrastructure was entirely predictable and has happened everywhere in the US (and in Africa), where blacks have moved in significant numbers. The die was cast when the city became predominantly black and thus black-run.
Liberals are telling blacks that they can run cities just as well as whites. However, the worst-run cities in the US are all black-run. This idea that a large black concentration can lead to white outcomes does not work in the US, it does not work in Europe, and it does not work in Africa. Liberals should probably stop cheerleading diversity and proposing that all races lead to the same outcomes. Liberals will make excuses for blacks, but white liberals are no longer interested in living in black-run cities or black neighborhoods than blacks are.
